I was late again this morning. My clocks at home must be off because I thought I had plenty of time…but when I got to the car, I was 7 minutes behind. So I drove like I shouldn’t have, parked like I shouldn’t have and tried to run for the train. Well, God caught up with me. I slipped on black ice and went straight down – hard. I managed to only scrape my knee, so I guess I’m fine. I still caught the train, but now I’m bleeding and can’t do anything about it…and my pants are just about ripped at the knee. Good way to go into work, eh? At least the sun is out.

I need to pass out now. Oh and I don’t know wtf is up with this blogger post through e-mail service. None of posts for the last 23 hours have made it. Apologies.

Why do people feel the need to rush to the train as soon as the track is announced? I mean, I understand if there’s one minute left and you need to run for it, but you’re there 12 minutes early – take it easy. Knocking over an old lady just so you can get a window seat might be your idea of a good time, but it’s a lot more fun to knock over a toddler. Ok, kidding. I’ve never done that, I swear.

This train is too loud for me. How the hell am I going to sleep? Doesn’t anybody care? My nose is stuffed, I’d snore pretty loud if I slept. That could be fun. I just blew my nose. My neighbors must love me now.

It’s so nice to be leaving work with the light of day still visible. Good times ahead.
Fat man out of breath from, I’m presuming, running for the closing doors. By “running” I mean wobbling.

I can’t believe that the whole Jeter A-Rod thing is front page news for AM NY. Don’t New Yorkers have more important things to talk about? Like the Mets? Or Britneys’s new hair? Or lack thereof? Priorities.

Yeah, it was cold this weekend, but the extra day off was so terribly overdue. I did absolutely nothing. That’s more a result of my being sick, but I take it as a blessing in disguise. I got to rest up, a lot. I did do my taxes, though. Turbotax kicks ass….I’ll keep saying that until I get audited.

I also just about finished building my DVR or PVR or fake TiVo or whatever you want to call it. It just is a computer that records tv. I usually don’t watch much tv, but I am really getting into Lost (couldn’t you tell?). My ultimate goal: have the computer record the show and then convert it into a format that I can use on my handheld (I refuse to own a video ipod). Let’s see how that goes. Let me know if you want details on how that’s done.

The ticket collector must be on some great drugs…or caffiene. He just fired 8 shots on one poor ticket. Let that anger out, brotha.

There’s a somewhat cute blonde girl sitting in front of me. Hallo! This lady just plopped herself right next to me. By plopped, I mean like when shit plops in the toilet and splashes water on your ass. There’s two empty seats next to me, woman. My poor coat is suffocating under her big ass right now. Ugh. Now she’s picking shit out of her hair. I’m going to have to go to sleep.

If people are going to pile a bunch of crap on the vacant seats next to them, then I’m going to be the asshole who finds the person with the most crap and makes them move it so that I can sit.

So the lady in front of me just sent a text message that started with “you couldn’t fuckin wait 60 seconds…” I think she’s pissed.

The guy sitting across the aisle from me was trying to figure out what I was staring at when I was looking at her phone. He’s very observant. In fact, he keeps looking around as if he’s a 13 year old boy who’s afraid of getting caught with a nudie magazine. Now he’s trying to figure out what I’m writing. This could be fun.

Ok, so I’m the jerk who’s coughing a lot. I’m trying my best to hold it, but I’m getting sick. Perfect timing as it’s the weekend.

I just tried to snap a pic of the skyline, but I’m not in a good enough position to be able to do so. Nice sunset. Sadly, it reminds me of my train ride home on September 11, 2001.

On a brighter note. The old Indian man drinking a beer totally has the hots for the young chick in front of him. He keeps stealing glances at her and smiling politely when their eyes cross. Just to clarify, the girl is “of age”. So, go for it, brotha.

Ok, she is texting again something along the lines of “yea – you’re a shithead….” nice!

…the 8:07 to Penn from Hicksville. Well, I have to say – thank God! I was running late so I drove west, parked illegally (help me out, snow covered streets? please?), and ran to the platform as this train arrived. As Borat would say: “very nice!”

Tell me if this is creepy? The guy sitting across the aisle from me is reading a book “Caring for Lizards, from A to Z”

OK, now the important stuff. Spring Training is here! Pitchers and Catchers reported to camp today. If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m a bit of a Mets fan

Spring Training also has other significance. It means SPRING is just around the corner!! Spring break will be in full effect pretty soon, folks will shed their winter jackets and scarves and hats for shorts, tanktops and skirts. Man, I can’t wait. Does it sound like I need a vacation? Because I do. Mike, let’s hitup Florida in March!

In other good news, it’s Friday! This is a long weekend! The baby on the train just said “wooooooo!” I couldn’t agree more.

I failed to mention that I had missed my 7:32am from Ronkonoma. My bad. I was on drugs. See, I’m on the verge of a cold. I took some Tylenol Cold before I slept (at 9pm!!). Well, I don’t know if it helped my cold, but I slept like a baby. I should have taken some more before rushing out the door, but I was rushing – I usually don’t do that but I actually had to be at work on time today. Oh well.
